Canyon Nerve AL 9.9 SL 29er

I am so tempted by this, even if it does mean waiting until April??? What incredible value for money at under £2500.

I know a few people that have Canyons of one shape or another and love them. A search on the internet backs this up.  Bike radar rated the 2012 26er as one of the best bikes for 2012.

It would be a great place to start in the world of the 29er.  I did have a couple of questions for Canyon, mostly about the forks.  They are listed as 110mm but Fox don’t do a 110mm fork if you check there website. So I am interested what size the forks actually are, i will post back when i find out.

If I get the answers I hope for, there might be a purchase on the cards, I will keep you posted.

Strava Cycling Base Mile Blast

Good reason to try and get some miles in. Will be on the back foot as i do mostly MTB miles but they also include trainer miles in this one so that will help.

Lets get peddling….

December Blues

OK, I am fed up now.  The weather is getting me down, I hate the short days and I seem to have this constant cold I cant get rid off.

In a bit of a bike lull at the moment and struggling to get out of it.  Want to go ride but finding the littlest things stop me going.  Then I beat myself up for not going, its a vicious circle.  I would like to blame SAD (Seasonal Effective Disorder) as I am very grumpy if I don’t get enough sunshine.  I blame my parents for not living in the right country when I was born…. (sorry mum..)

If I am honest with myself I am just being a wimp and letting stupid things bother me.  Going to try and chill over Christmas and shake the blues out of me so in the New Year I can get back out there and hammer the trails….

I hope you all have Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year…..
